The Chief Secretary for Administration, Mr Henry Tang, will visit the United States from January 8 to 14.
Mr Tang will depart for Las Vegas on January 7 evening. On January 8 he will officiate at the Hong Kong Reception organised by the Trade Development Council at the Consumer Electronics Show 2010 and meet local interlocutors.
Mr Tang will proceed to New York on January 10 and Washington D.C. on January 12. He will meet interlocutors from the federal and city governments, think tanks, the financial and business community, and other relevant sectors to update them on the latest developments in Hong Kong and to promote bilateral exchanges. He will also visit arts and culture facilities in these cities.
Mr Tang will be back in Hong Kong on January 15. During his absence, the Secretary for Education, Mr Michael Suen, will be acting Chief Secretary for Administration.
