The Land Registry today (January 6) released its statistics for 2009.
Land registration

* The number of sale and purchase agreements for all building units received for registration for 2009 was 133,962 (+18.2% compared with 2008 but -8.1% compared with 2007).
* The total consideration of agreements for 2009 was $515.7 billion (+24.8% compared with 2008 but -1.9% compared with 2007).
* The number of assignments of building units for 2009 was 141,307 (-13.3% compared with 2008 and -10.7% compared with 2007).
* The total consideration for these assignments for 2009 was $471.6 billion (-13.2% compared with 2008 but +0.1% compared with 2007).
Land search
-----------
* The number of searches of land registers made by the public for 2009 was 4,968,134 (+6.1% compared with 2008 and +4.4% compared with 2007).
