The Labour Department, Tsuen Wan District Office and Tsuen Wan District Council will co-organise a two-day job fair at L1 Atrium, Tsuen Wan Plaza, 4-30 Tai Pa Street, Tsuen Wan on Monday and Tuesday (January 4 and 5).
A total of 20 companies will participate in the fair, with 10 participating companies on each day. They will offer more than 2,200 vacancies and will set up counters to conduct on-the-spot recruitment.
The companies are from three industries including catering, property management and retail. Vacancies offered cover a wide variety of positions such as shop supervisor, shop assistant, cook, waiter/waitress, customer services officer and security guard. More information about the vacancies is available on the department's Interactive Employment Service website (www.jobs.gov.hk).
Around 70% of the vacancies offered are full-time jobs. Most of them offer a monthly salary ranging from $5,000 to $10,000. More than 95% of the vacancies require Form 5 education level or below. Around 65% of them are open to job seekers without relevant experience.
Job-seekers may submit job applications and have the opportunity for a selection interview on-the-spot. The Labour Department will also conduct on-the-spot registration of job-seekers.
The fair will start from 11am to 5.30pm. Admission is free of charge. All members of the public are welcome.
