Police are investigating a fatal traffic accident in Sham Shui Po early this morning (December 28) in which a woman in her fifties was killed.
About 0.40am, a taxi driven by a 52-year-old man was travelling on Cheung Sha Wan Road towards Mong Kok. When approaching the junction of Yen Chow Street, the taxi reportedly knocked down a woman who was crossing the road. No identification document was found from the woman aged about 50.
The woman sustained serious head injuries and was rushed to Caritas Medical Centre where she was certified dead at 1.08am.
Investigations will be handover to the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, Kowloon West.
