Police are investigating a fatal traffic accident in Sau Mau Ping this morning (December 24) in which a 44-year-old man was killed and three other persons were injured.
A car driven by a 24-year-old man was travelling on Lee On Road towards Sau Mau Ping at about 8am. When approaching Shun King Street, the car is believed to have lost control and rammed onto the pavement on its left side.
A 44-year-old male pedestrian and a 38-year-old female pedestrian were hit by the car and sustained serious injuries. The 44-year-old man was certified dead at scene.
The 24-year-old driver and a 22-year-old female passenger were also injured and sent to the United Christian Hospital for treatment.
Investigations by Special Investigation Team of Traffic Kowloon East are under way.
