The Director of Food and Environmental Hygiene Department (FEHD) has ordered a food premises in Yuen Long to suspend business for 14 days for repeated violations of the Food Business Regulation.
The food premises (§Q¿³¿NÃZ±Mªù©±), at Shop No 7 (Front Portion), ground floor, Jing Ying Mansion, 56 Fook Tak Street, was ordered to suspend business from today (December 23) to January 5.
"In August and December last year, there were two convictions in respect of improper storage of open food at the food premises," an FEHD spokesman said.
"A total fine of $3,000 was levied and 15 demerit points were registered against the licensee under the department's demerit points system. The contraventions resulted in the 14-day business suspension."
The food premises also had convictions since July 2007 for unauthorised alteration and improper storage of open food.
A total fine of $2,500 was levied and 20 demerit points had been registered against the licensee. The breaches led to business suspension for seven days in April last year.
The spokesman reminded licensees of food premises to comply with the Food Business Regulation, or their licences could be suspended or cancelled.
