Man charged with misleading police officer

Police have charged a 33-year-old man on Monday (December 21) with the offence of knowingly misleading a police officer.
In the early hours of July 19, the man lodged a complaint of being assaulted by police officer arising from his encounter with police officers of Tsim Sha Tsui Division at Hart Avenue, Tsim Sha Tsui at an earlier time.
Subsequent to the Complaints Against Police Officeˇ¦s (CAPO) investigation, officers of CAPO arrested and charged the complainant on December 21.
The defendant has been released on court bail and will appear in Kowloon City Magistrates' Court for plea on December 30.
