The Wan Chai District Council announced today (December 23) that the "Wan Chai Book Fair - Reading in Causeway Bay" will be staged on Lockhart Road and the pedestrian precincts of East Point Road, Great George Street and Pak Sha Road on January 16 and 17, 2010, as originally scheduled.
Police will make appropriate arrangements to ensure the smooth running of the event. As the Wan Chai Police District is confident of ensuring the smooth running of the book fair, Wan Chai District Council decided that the event would be staged at the originally scheduled location and time.
For the Temple Fair on Chinese Culture to be held on February 20, 2010 at the pedestrian precincts at Paterson Street and Great George Street, the organiser had no plan to stage the event on Lockhart Road in the first place.
