Statistics on human swine influenza vaccinations

A total of 1,528 doses of human swine influenza (HSI) vaccine were administered at Hospital Authority and Department of Health clinics as at 1pm today (December 21), the first day of the HSI vaccination programme.
They comprised 928 jabs for community-living elderly aged 65 or above; 296 for persons under 65 years with chronic illness; four for pregnant women; 98 for healthcare workers; 196 for children aged between six months and less than six years; and six for pig farmers and slaughterhouse workers.
No reports of serious adverse events, which may or may not have been caused by the vaccination, were received.
