Drug InfoCentre's weekly closing day moves to Sundays
*****************************************************

The Narcotics Division, Security Bureau, today (December 21) announced that from January 4, the weekly closing day of the Hong Kong Jockey Club Drug InfoCentre (DIC) would be changed from Wednesdays to Sundays. The new opening hours will be 10am to 6pm on Monday to Saturday and the DIC will be closed on Sundays and public holidays.

"The change of the opening hours of the DIC is to cater for increasing demands from students and groups who wish to make the visit on weekdays.  Many pertinent messages are conveyed through the multimedia exhibits, interactive games and role-play.  A visit to the DIC is an interesting and effective way to provide anti-drug education, especially to youngsters," a spokesman of the Narcotics Division, Security Bureau said.

"The DIC will be closed on Christmas Day (December 25) and New Year's Day (January 1)."

The DIC was established in 2004. It is the first exhibition centre in Hong Kong dedicated to anti-drug education. For further information or booking of educational programmes for group visitors, people can contact the DIC reception on 2867 2831.
