The overall Comprehensive Social Security Assistance (CSSA) caseload in November showed a decrease of 374 cases over October, representing a decrease of 0.1%, according to the latest CSSA caseload statistics released by the Social Welfare Department today (December 16).
Total CSSA caseload at the end of November stood at
289,607 (see attached table), with a total of 482,036 recipients.
Analysed by case nature, unemployment cases showed a decrease of 0.9% to 33,699.
Both single parent and low earning cases registered a month-to-month decrease of 0.4% to 36,429 and 15,643 respectively.
Old age cases registered a month-to-month increase of 0.1% to 153,269.
