"Children's songs" and "band sounds" may seem unlikely partners, but Harry Wong wants to prove otherwise at concerts in January and February. The band will perform a fun-filled, exciting programme of children's songs.
Harry will jam with six of his friends, the &joy Band, to give a new twist to classics from different eras. Children of all ages and even the adults in the audience are in for a refreshing treat. The programme is made up of a number of segments, each dedicated to one style of music.
Last but not least , Harry, who is also a veteran magician, will bring with him props and glove puppets to turn the auditorium into a carnival of band sounds, magic, animated presentations of children's songs, and interactive games in which members of the audience, both young and old, can participate.
Harry, known as "Harry Goh Goh", a magician and children's programme host, initially trained as a musician. He studied Music Education and Commercial Music at the Mabel Thatcher Technical College in Liverpool, Britain. Over the years, Harry has scored for a huge variety of programmes and cut many CD recordings. His recent stage performances include "Harry Goh Goh's Mad House Party", "The Trick Brain" and "Harry Goh Goh: My Dad is a Magician I & II".
