Police today (December 15) arrested a 58-year-old man suspected to be in connection with the death of a 39-year-old woman in Tuen Mun last night (December 14).
About 11.15pm last night, the 58-year-old man surrendered to Castle Peak Police Station and reported that he was in connection with the death of his wife at their residence at Wu Fai House, Wu King Estate.
Police officers arrived and found the body of the 39-year-old woman inside the kitchen of their residence. Initial examination found wounds on the womanˇ¦s head, which were suspected to be caused by hard objects. Police officers also seized a hammer at the scene for further investigations.
The 58-year-old man was arrested for murder and is still being detained for further enquiries.
A post-mortem examination will be conducted later today to ascertain the cause of death of the woman.
Investigations by the District Crime Squad of Tuen Mun District are underway.
