The Leisure and Cultural Services Department today (December 14) announced that the Hong Kong Central Library, 38 public libraries and all Mobile Libraries would close at 5pm on Christmas Eve (December 24) and New Year's Eve (December 31).
The library at North Lamma will close at 4.30pm on those days.
Public libraries at Ap Lei Chau, Electric Road, Pok Fu Lam, Smithfield, Stanley, Wong Nai Chung and Yiu Tung in Hong Kong district; Fu Shan, Hung Hom, Kowloon City, Lam Tin, Lei Yue Mun, Lok Fu, Lung Hing, Pak Tin, Sau Mau Ping, Shun Lee Estate, Tai Kok Tsui, Tsim Sha Tsui, Tsz Wan Shan and Un Chau Street in Kowloon district; Butterfly Estate, Mui Wo, Sha Tau Kok, Shek Wai Kok and South Lamma in New Territories and Islands districts, will be closed on Christmas Eve and New Yearˇ¦s Eve which are both on their regular close day.
On Christmas Day (December 25), Boxing Day (December 26) and New Year's Day (January 1), all public and mobile libraries as well as students' study rooms will be closed.
