Police today (December 13) appealed for information on the case in Causeway Bay yesterday (December 12) when a bottle containing suspected corrosive fluid was thrown from a building.
About 10.10pm yesterday, police received a report that a plastic bottle had been thrown from a building at No. 541-543 Lockhart Road into the street below.
When police arrived at the scene, they found that 6 passers-by - one man and five women aged from 18 to 27 - had been burnt by the fluid. They were taken to Queen Mary Hospital and Ruttonjee Hospital for treatment.
Police have classified the case as throwing corrosive fluid with intent to do grievous bodily harm.
Police appeal to anyone who has information on the case to contact any police station or the investigating officers of the Regional Crime Unit, Hong Kong Island on 6643 7068.
They can also give the information by letter to General Post Office Box No.999, by fax at 2200 4518 or by email to crimeinformation@police.gov.hk.
