Police will implement special traffic arrangements in Tseung Kwan O on December 13 (Sunday) to facilitate an East Asian Games race competition.
(1) Road closure
The following road closures will be implemented from 6am to 11.30am on December 13:
- Po Fung Road westbound between Mau Yip Road and Po Hong Road;
- Po Hong Road southbound between Po Fung Road and Po Yap Road;
- Po Yap Road eastbound between Po Hong Road and Wan Po Road; and
- The northbound slip road between Po Yap Road and Wan Po Road.
(2) Traffic diversion
The following traffic diversion will be implemented from 6am to 11.30am on December 13:
- Vehicles travelling along Po Fung Road westbound must turn left onto Yan King Road or Mau Yip Road;
- Vehicles travelling along Po Hong Road southbound must turn left onto Po Fung Road eastbound;
- Vehicles travelling along Po Yap Road eastbound or Tong Ming Street eastbound, on reaching Po Hong Road, must turn left onto Po Hong Road northbound;
- Vehicles travelling along Po Yap Road westbound are not allowed to make use of the roundabout at Po Hong Road for right turn onto Po Yap Road eastbound; and
- Vehicles travelling along Chiu Shun Road westbound are not allowed to make use of the northbound slip road of Wan Po Road to the Tseung Kwan O Tunnel. Motorists heading for the Tseung Kwan O Tunnel have to travel via Po Yap Road westbound and Po Shun Road.
(3) Temporary prohibition on access to/ exit from the car park
As Po Hong Road southbound between Po Fung Road and Po Yap Road will be designated as the race route and temporarily closed, entry to and exit from Shun Kwong Car Park opposite Kwong Ming Court will be temporarily closed for all vehicles.
(4) Temporary closure of cycle tracks
Depending on the prevailing circumstances, part of the cycle track and footpath near the race route may have to be temporarily closed by the Police to facilitate the implementation of crowd management measures.
