The Secretary for Home Affairs, Mr Tsang Tak-sing, extended his congratulations to Hong Kong athletes for seizing one silver and five bronze medals in the East Asian Games today (December 8).
"Hong Kong athletes have once again demonstrated their unswerving efforts and sportsmanship in various events. We are thrilled by their achievements in the weightlifting and swimming competitions today," Mr Tsang said.
The Hong Kong delegation has so far won eight gold, 14 silver and 21 bronze medals in the 2009 EAG.
The list of Hong Kong athletes who won medals today is as follows.
