Police will implement special traffic arrangements in Tseung Kwan O on Thursday (December 10) to facilitate an East Asian Games race competition.
(1) Road Closure
The following road closures will be implemented from 9am to 3pm on December 10:
- Po Hong Road southbound between Kwong Ming Court and Po Yap Road; and
- Po Yap Road eastbound between Po Hong Road and Wan Po Road.
(2) Traffic Diversion
The following traffic diversions will be implemented from 9am to 3pm on December 10:
- Traffic heading for Hang Hau, Sai Kung and Tseung Kwan O Industrial Area have to travel via Po Shun Road and Po Ning Road or Chiu Shun Road in lieu of Po Yap Road eastbound;
- Traffic heading for Tseung Kwan O Tunnel have to travel via Po Hong Road northbound, Ling Hong Road and Po Shun Road in lieu of Po Yap Road eastbound and Wan Po Road; and
- Traffic heading for Tseung Kwan O have to travel via Po Shun Road in lieu of Po Hong Road southbound.
(3) Temporary Prohibition on access to/ exit from the Car Park
As Po Hong Road southbound between Kwong Ming Court and Po Yap Road will be designated as the race route and temporarily closed, the ingress/ egress of Shun Kwong Car Park opposite to Kwong Ming Court will be temporarily closed for all vehicles.
(4) Temporary Closure of Cycle Tracks
Depending on the prevailing circumstances, part of the cycle track and footpath near the race route may be temporarily closed by the police to facilitate the implementation of crowd management measures.
