****************************************************

The following is issued on behalf of the Housing Authority:

The Housing Authority's (HA) public rental housing tenants can pay their rent at 34 more stations along the MTR lines and Light Rail starting tomorrow (December 1).

The newly added rent collection points include 28 MTR stations along the East Rail Line, West Rail Line, Ma On Shan Line and LOHAS Park Station of Tseung Kwan O Line (except Airport Express, Lo Wu, Lok Ma Chau, Racecourse and Disneyland Resort stations) and six stations along the Light Rail line - Tin Yat, Town Centre, Yuen Long Terminus, Ferry Pier Terminus, Leung King and Tin Shui Wai stations).

"These newly available rent collection points will provide more choices for tenants living in Ma On Shan, New Territories East, New Territories West, Tuen Mun, Yuen Long and Tin Shui Wai areas," a spokesperson for the Housing Department said.

"Our tenants can also enjoy the convenience of paying their rent at the Customer Service Centres at the existing 50 MTR stations along Tsuen Wan Line, Kwun Tong Line, Island Line, Tseung Kwan O Line and Tung Chung Line, where rent collection has been in service since 2007. Tenants simply need to produce their Housing Department e-payment card and pay the rent amount in cash," he said.

In addition to the 84 rent collection points across the MTR network, Housing Authority tenants also have a number of quick and easy alternatives to pay their rent. These include bank auto-pay, PPS, more than 900 7-Eleven stores, internet banking, phone-banking, Automatic Teller Machines and any estate shroff offices.
