Proposed road works at Mok Tse Che, Sai Kung, gazetted

     The Government published a notice in the Gazette today (November 27) on the proposed road works at Mok Tse Che, Sai Kung.

     The proposed works aim to improve the existing road condition of the access road. They include widening some sections of the existing carriageway at Mok Tse Che; construction of retaining walls, footpaths and a platform for relocation of the existing shrine; temporary or permanent closure of sections of the existing carriageway, footpaths and staircases; ancillary works such as drainage, landscaping and geotechnical works and relocation of an existing refuse collection point.

     The plan and scheme of the works are available for public inspection at the following government offices during office hours:

(i)  Central and Western District Office, Public Enquiry Service Centre, Unit 5, Ground Floor, The Center, 99 Queen's Road Central, Hong Kong;

(ii) Sai Kung District Office, 2/F, Sai Kung Government Offices Building, 34 Chan Man Street, Sai Kung, New Territories; and

(iii) District Lands Office, Sai Kung, 3/F, Sai Kung Government Offices Building, 34 Chan Man Street, Sai Kung, New Territories.

     Any person who wishes to object to the proposed works or the use, or both, should write to the Secretary for Transport and Housing, 16th Floor, Murray Building, Garden Road, Hong Kong, on or before January 26, 2010.
