The Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development, Mrs Rita Lau, will leave Hong Kong this evening (November 22) for a two-day visit to Beijing.
Mrs Lau will attend the opening ceremony of 2009 China Trade in Services Congress and address the 4th International Seminar on Trade in Services on Tuesday (November 24).
She will also meet officials of various ministries and departments including the Ministry of Commerce, General Administration of Customs, General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine to discuss and exchange views on matters of mutual interest and further co-operation.
Mrs Lau will return to Hong Kong on Tuesday evening.
