CE arrives in Singapore to attend APEC meeting

     The Chief Executive, Mr Donald Tsang, arrived in Singapore this (November 12) evening to attend the 17th Economic Leaders¡¦ Meeting of Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) over the weekend.

     Mr Tsang will address the APEC CEO Summit 2009 on global economic governance tomorrow and will also hold bilateral meetings with the Prime Minister of New Zealand, Mr John Key, and the US Secretary of Commerce, Mr Gary Locke.
 
     In the evening, Mr Tsang will attend a reception hosted by the Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development, Mrs Rita Lau, for Hong Kong businessmen and prominent local interlocutors, and speak at a dinner of the Hong Kong-Singapore Business Association.

     He will join other leaders to attend the APEC Economic Leaders¡¦ Meeting over the weekend.

     Mr Tsang will return to Hong Kong on November 16. During his absence, the Chief Secretary for Administration, Mr Henry Tang, will be Acting Chief Executive.
