The Director for Home Affairs, Mrs Pamela Tan, extended her deepest condolences to the victims and their families of a traffic accident in Tseung Kwan O early this (November 9) morning.
Mrs Tan said the Home Affairs Department had made every effort to provide appropriate assistance to the victims and their families.
Staff of the relevant district offices (DOs) visited the victims at the hospitals today and have been in touch with their families. Staff from DOs will help them to apply for emergency relief, including financial assistance under the General Chinese Charity Fund, if necessary.
The Home Affairs Department will continue to keep in close touch with the victims' families, follow up on their needs and render assistance.
