Police will implement special traffic arrangements in Central to facilitate holding of the Hong Kong Food and Wine Year from Friday to Sunday (November 6 to 8).
(A) Lan Kwai Fong area
1. Road Closure
The following roads will be closed to all vehicular traffic from 2pm on Friday to 11.59pm on Sunday:
- The section of D'Aguilar Steet between Wyndham Street and Wellington Street;
- Lan Kwai Fong;
- Wing Wah Lane; and
- Wo On Lane.
2. Traffic Diversion
During the above road closure periods in Lan Kwai Fong area, vehicles on northbound Wyndham Street will be prohibited from making a left turn into D'Aguilar Street.
(B) SoHo area
1. Road Closure
The following roads will be closed to all vehicular traffic from 3pm to 7pm on November 6, from noon to 11pm on Saturdayand from noon to 11pm on Sunday:
- the section of Elgin Street between Shelley Street and Peel Street;
- the section of Staunton Street between Old Bailey Street and Peel Street; and
- the section of Graham Street between Hollywood Road and Staunton Street.
2. Traffic Diversions
The following traffic diversions will be implemented during the above road closure periods in SoHo area:
- All vehicles will be prohibited from making right turn from northbound Peel Street into Elgin Street;
- All vehicles will be prohibited from making left turn from southbound Peel Street into Elgin Street;
- All vehicles will be prohibited from making left turn from Old Bailey Street into Staunton Street, except for vehicles entering the carpark at 3 Staunton Street;
- All vehicles will be prohibited from making right turn from the carpark at 3 Staunton Street into Staunton Street. Affected vehicles from the carpark at 3 Staunton Street must turn left into Staunton Street and Old Bailey Street. The section of Staunton Street between Old Bailey Street and Shelley Street will be converted from one-way westbound to one-way eastbound carriageway;
- All vehicles will be prohibited from making right turn from Hollywood Road into Graham Street; and
- All vehicles on Lyndhurst Terrace will be prohibited from entering Graham Street and will be diverted to Hollywood Road.
(C) Prohibited Zone for vehicles with gross weight over 5.5 tonnes
Old Bailey Street will be temporarily designated a prohibited zone for all vehicles with gross vehicle weight over 5.5 tonnes from 3pm on Friday to 11pm on Sunday.
Motorists are urged to take heed of traffic signs at the scene and instructions by traffic Police.
