The Labour Department will hold a two-day job fair at G/F, Luen Wo Hui Community Hall, 9 Wo Mun Street, Fanling on Thursday and Friday (October 29 and 30) from 11am to 6pm.
A total of 23 companies will participate in the fair on Thursday and another 22 companies on Friday. They will offer more than 2,100 vacancies and will set up counters and conduct on-the-spot recruitment.
The companies are from various industries including retail, catering, business services, property management and security. Vacancies offered cover a wide variety of positions such as sales, shop assistant, cook, waiter/waitress, cleaner, clerk, administrative officer, security guard and customer service assistant. More information about the vacancies is available on the department's Interactive Employment Service website (www.jobs.gov.hk).
More than 90% of the vacancies offered are full-time jobs. Most of them offer a monthly salary ranging from $5,000 to $10,000. More than 90% of the vacancies require Form 5 education level or below. Around 60% of them are open to job seekers without relevant experience.
Job seekers may submit job applications and have the opportunity for a selection interview on-the-spot. The Labour Department will also conduct on-the-spot registration of job seekers.
Admission is free of charge. All members of the public are welcome.
