The Chief Secretary for Administration, Mr Henry Tang, will depart Hong Kong on October 26 for a duty visit to Australia.
On October 27, Mr Tang will attend the Hong Kong-Guangdong Business Conference in Sydney. The conference is the eighth investment promotion event held jointly by the HKSAR Government and the Guangdong Provincial Government since 2003, aiming to promote investment and business opportunities offered by the close co-operation between Hong Kong and the Pearl River Delta region.
Mr Tang will leave for Melbourne in the afternoon of October 27. In Melbourne, he will call on the Governor of the State of Victoria and visit arts and cultural facilities.
Mr Tang will return to Hong Kong on the morning of October 29. During his absence, the Secretary for Food and Health, Dr York Chow, and the Secretary for Constitutional and Mainland Affairs, Mr Stephen Lam, will be acting Chief Secretary for Administration on October 26 and from October 27 to 28 respectively.
