Police will implement special traffic arrangements in Causeway Bay and Wan Chai to facilitate a religious event to be held on Sunday (October 18).
(A) Road Closure
The following roads will be closed from 2.15pm:
1) A section of northbound Tung Lo Wan Road between Cotton Path and Leighton Road;
2) Irving Street except vehicles heading for Regal Hotel;
3) A section of northbound Pennington Street between Irving Street and Yee Wo Street;
4) A section of westbound Yee Wo Street between Pennington Street and Hennessy Road;
5) Jardine's Bazaar;
6) A section of westbound Hennessy Road between Yee Wo Street and Canal Road East;
7) A section of northbound Lee Garden Road between Hennessy Road and Pak Sha Road;
8) Kai Chiu Road;
9) A section of Yun Ping Road between Lan Fong Road and Kai Chiu Road;
10) Tang Lung Street; and
11) A section of Canal Road East between Hennessy Road and Russell Street.
(B) Traffic Diversion
The following traffic diversion will be implemented from 2.15pm:
1) Traffic along westbound Causeway Road will be prohibited from entering Irving Street and must keep left onto westbound Leighton Road;
2) Traffic along eastbound Yee Wo Street will be prohibited from turning right onto Irving Street and must go straight to Tung Lo Wan Road except franchised buses and green minibuses;
3) Traffic along eastbound Yee Wo Street will be prohibited from turning right onto westbound Leighton Road and must go straight to Tung Lo Wan Road except franchised buses and green minibuses;
4) Traffic along northbound Eastern Hospital must turn right onto eastbound Tung Lo Wan Road;
5) Traffic along northbound Pennington Street will be prohibited from turning left onto Jardine's Bazaar;
6) Traffic along northbound Pennington Street will be diverted to turn right onto eastbound Yee Wo Street;
7) Traffic along northbound Yun Ping Road must turn left onto westbound Lan Fong Road; and
8) Traffic along westbound Russell Street will be prohibited from turning right onto northbound Canal Road and will be directed to turn left to southbound Canal Road East.
Motorists are urged to take heed of traffic signs at the scene and instructions by traffic Police.
