The Legislative Council will hold its first meeting of the 2009-2010 legislative session this Wednesday (October 14) at 11am in the Chamber of the Legislative Council Building. During the meeting, the Chief Executive will present his Policy Address.
The Secretary for the Environment will also move a resolution under the Interpretation and General Clauses Ordinance to amend the Air Pollution Control (Volatile Organic Compounds), which laid on the table of the Legislative Council on May 27, 2009.
The agenda of the above meeting can be obtained via the Legislative Council InfoFax Service (Tel: 2869 9568) or the Legislative Council website (www.legco.gov.hk). People may also visit the Legislative Council website and click "Voice Broadcast" to listen to the live audio webcast of the meeting.
Meanwhile, the Legislative Council will hold another meeting on Thursday (October 15) at 3pm in the Chamber of the Legislative Council Building. The Chief Executive will attend the meeting to answer Members' questions relating to his Policy Address.
Members of the public are welcome to observe the proceedings of the meetings from the public galleries of the Chamber of the Legislative Council Building. They may reserve seats by calling 2869 9399 during office hours. Seats will be allocated on a first-come-first-served basis.
