The Director of Food and Environmental Hygiene has ordered a food premises in Tuen Mun to suspend business for 14 days for repeated violations of the Food Business Regulation.
The food premises (¶¶¼w¤p¼p), at Flat F, ground floor, Far East Consortium Tuen Mun Central Building, 1 to 29 Tat Yan Square, was ordered to suspend business from today (October 7) to October 20.
"In May and October last year, there were two convictions in respect of unauthorised extension of food business at the food premises," a Food and Environmental Hygiene Department spokesman said.
"A total fine of $8,400 was levied and 30 demerit points were registered against the licensee under the department's demerit points system. The contraventions resulted in the 14-day business suspension."
He said the food premises also had convictions in February and April last year for the same offence.
"A total fine of $6,800 was levied and 30 demerit points were registered against the licensee. The breaches led to business suspension for seven days from July 7 to 13 last year," the spokesman said.
He reminded licensees of food premises to comply with the Food Business Regulation, or their licences could be suspended or cancelled.
