Police will implement special traffic arrangements to facilitate a long distance run event to be held in Wan Chai on Sunday (October 4):
The following road closure and traffic diversion will be implemented between 7.45 am and 10am:
Road closure
------------
(1) A section of northbound Tim Mei Avenue between Lung Wui Road and Harcourt Road;
(2) A section of eastbound Lung Wui Road between Tim Mei Avenue and Fenwick Pier Street;
(3) Fenwick Pier Street;
(4) A section of eastbound Convention Avenue between Fenwick Pier Street and Expo Drive East;
(5) A section of Convention Avenue between Fleming Road and Tonnochy Road;
(6) A section of Hung Hing Road between Tonnochy Road and Marsh Road;
(7) A section of northbound Expo Drive between Convention Avenue and Expo Drive East;
(8) The north of Expo Drive East between Golden Bauhinia Square and Expo Drive, including the bus terminus next to Golden Bauhinia Square;
(9) A section of southbound Expo Drive East between Convention Avenue and Expo Drive;
(10) A section of eastbound Harbour Road between Fleming Road and Tonnochy Road;
(11) A section of northbound Tonnochy Road between Harbour Road and Convention Avenue;
(12) A section of southbound Tonnochy Road between Gloucester Road and Convention Avenue; and
(13) Lung King Street.
Traffic diversions
------------------
(1) Traffic along eastbound Harcourt Road heading for Tim Mei Avenue will be prohibited;
(2) Traffic along northbound Fleming Road will be prohibited to turn right to eastbound Convention Avenue;
(3) Traffic along southbound Fleming Road will be prohibited to turn left to eastbound Harbour Road except vehicles heading for Great Eagle Centre, Harbour Centre Carpark and Wan Chai Indoor Game Halls;
(4) Traffic along eastbound Expo Drive Central must turn left to northbound Expo Drive East;
(5) Traffic along eastbound Harbour Road near the junction of Fleming Road must turn left to northbound Fleming Road;
(6) Traffic along southbound Expo Drive must turn right to westbound Fenwick Pier Street;
(7) Traffic along Tonnochy Road Flyover must turn left to westbound Harbour Road;
(8) Traffic along westbound Hung Hing Road must turn left to southbound Marsh Road;
(9) Traffic along northbound Marsh Road must turn right to eastbound Hung Hing Road; and
(10) Traffic along northbound Harbour Drive must turn left to westbound Harbour Road.
In addition, the following bus stops, taxi stands and parking spaces will also be suspended:
A. Bus stops (between 7.45am and 10am)
(1) Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre Phase II, Expo Drive East;
(2) Eastbound Convention Avenue;
(3) Eastbound Harbour Road.
B. Public bus/coaches metered parking spaces/parking spaces (between 6am and 10am)
(1) Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre Phase II, Expo Drive East.
C. Taxi stands (between 7.45am and 10am)
(1) Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre Phase II, Expo Drive East; and
(2) Tim Mei Avenue.
D. Metered parking spaces and motorcycle parking spaces (between 6am and 10am)
(1) Lung King Street.
