Police are investigating a murder case in Kwai Chung yesterday (October 1) evening, in which a 77-year-old man was killed.
About 8.40pm, a report was made to Police by a 47-year-old woman who suspected a 77-year-old man was collapsed inside a flat at Tak Yam House in On Yam Estate, Kwai Chung.
Police officers arrived the scene and located the man lying unconscious on the bed inside the flat and a chopper was found inside the flat’s kitchen.
The man was certified dead by the ambulancemen at the scene.
Initial examination found multiple chop wounds on the man's head, neck, forearms and left leg. A post-mortem examination will be conducted later to ascertain the cause of death.
Investigations by the District Crime Squad of Kwai Chung are continuing.
