The Labour Department will hold two different job fairs at Olympian City 2 on September 29 and 30.
On September 29, the Labour Department and the Hong Kong Association of Property Management Companies will co-organise a property management industry job fair. A total of 18 sizeable property management companies will offer more than 1,000 vacancies at this job fair. About 88% of the vacancies are full-time jobs with the majority offering a monthly salary from $6,000 to $8,000.
The property management industry job fair offers diverse positions including technical officer, property officer, technician, security guard, cleaner. Over 90% of these vacancies require Form 5 educational level or below and about 60% of them are open to job seekers without relevant experience. Some participating companies will deliver career talks on employment opportunities while the Qualifications Framework Secretariat will set up a booth to introduce latest developments in the property management industry.
On September 30, a retail industry job fair will be held. A total of 24 participating companies will offer more than 1,000 vacancies in this job fair. Vacancies cover a wide variety of positions such as shop manager, shop supervisor, sales, cashier and storekeeper. About 65% of the vacancies are full-time jobs and the majority offers a monthly salary from $6,000 to $8,000. Most of the vacancies require Form 5 educational level or below and about 40% of them are open to job seekers without relevant experience.
Job seekers can submit applications on the spot and may be selected for on-site interviews. The Labour Department will also conduct on-the-spot registration for job seekers.
The job fairs will be held from 11am to 6pm at Central Atrium, G/F, Olympian City 2, 18, Hoi Ting Road, West Kowloon. Admission is free. For details, please visit the Interactive Employment Service website (www.jobs.gov.hk) of the Labour Department.
