The Labour Department will hold a Youth Employment Start (Y.E.S.) x Dragon Centre Self-Employment Practice Day on 8/F of the Dragon Centre, Sham Shui Po, tomorrow and Sunday (September 26 and 27) from 10am to 10pm.
The practice day provides Y.E.S. Business Members with opportunities to apply what they have learnt in Y.E.S. by operating various businesses in push-cart stalls at the Dragon Centre free of charge.
One-on-one training has been provided to these Y.E.S. members by an experienced trainer on the operation of their businesses. The products offered include creative gadgets, environmentally-friendly gifts, handmade leather products and DIY accessories.
Opening ceremony of this event will be held on 1/F of the Dragon Centre at 3pm tomorrow.
The Labour Department will introduce the one-stop employment and self-employment support services provided to young people aged between 15 and 29 on-site. The department will also answer public enquiries and conduct on-the-spot pre-registration for qualified young people. Admission is free. All members of the public are welcome to visit and participate in the games and quiz sessions in the event.
