The Home Affairs Department and the Leisure and Cultural Services Department will jointly hold a National Day Carnival at Victoria Park on October 1 in celebration of the 60th anniversary of the founding of the Peopleˇ¦s Republic of China. Game booth tickets for the carnival will be available for public collection from tomorrow (September 25).
The carnival will start at 3pm. Admission is free. It will include a variety show; game booths set up by the 18 districts; clown and magic performances; exhibitions with themes of the 60th anniversary, including spectacular lantern displays, exhibitions of winning entries of the 18 districts drawing competition and bunting design competition.
To promote community participation in the 60th anniversary celebrations, the organisers have invited district representatives through the 18 District Offices to design and man the games booths for the enjoyment of everyone.
Free tickets for the game booths will be available for collection from tomorrow on a first-come-first-served basis at the Public Enquiry Service Centres of the 18 districts. Each person can get a maximum of two tickets.
