Man arrested for murder

     Police arrested a 39-year-old man last night (September 13) suspected to be in connection with the murder of a 35-year-old woman in Cheung Sha Wan last Saturday (September 12).

     About 2.50pm last Saturday, Police received a report from a man that his friend had failed to show up at work. A woman was subsequently found in a flat on Castle Peak Road where she sustained multiple chop wounds and was certified dead at scene.

     A post-mortem will be conducted today (September 14) to ascertain the cause of death of the deceased.

     After investigations, Police arrested the 39-year-old man at a border control point when he came back from the Mainland last night.

     The man was arrested for murder and is still being detained for further enquiries. Active investigations by the District Crime Squad of Sham Shui Po District are underway.
