In response to media enquiries today (September 10), a spokesman for the Home Affairs Bureau reiterated that staff deployment was an internal matter of the Hong Kong Young Women's Christian Association. The Secretary for Home Affairs had no advance knowledge of the concerned staff transfer and had absolutely no intention of interfering. It is regretted that some individuals have made totally unfounded allegations.
The Home Affairs Bureau stressed that it would continue to strive to work closely with various sectors as well as district organisations for the well-being of the community.
