Police today (September 4) charged three women arrested in a Wan Chai private club yesterday (September 3).
The three women, aged between 36 and 47, were jointly charged with one count of managing a vice establishment. Two of the women, aged 46 and 47 respectively, were also jointly charged with one count of trafficking in persons to Hong Kong for sexual purpose.
The defendants will appear in Eastern Magistrates' Courts tomorrow (September 5).
Meanwhile, a 26-year-old Filipino woman arrested for trafficking in persons to Hong Kong for sexual purpose and managing a vice establishment has been released on Police bail pending further investigation. Five other Filipino women suspected working in the private club and arrested in the same operation have been handed over to the Immigration Department.
