229 new cases of human swine influenza

     A spokesman for the Department of Health said there had been 229 newly confirmed cases of human swine influenza (Influenza A H1N1) in the 24 hours to 2.30pm today (August 31).

     The new cases involve 130 males and 99 females, aged between six months and 84 years.

     This brings to 11,807 the total number of human swine influenza  cases in Hong Kong.

     The spokesman noted that the total number of human swine influenza  cases would be revised according to further laboratory results.
