Police are investigating a traffic accident in Lantau North this morning (August 28) in which three men were killed and 22 others injured.
A coach driven by a 46-year-old man was travelling on North Lantau Highway towards Kowloon about 4.10am. Near Siu Ho Wan, the coach lost control and tipped over.
Tree trapped male passengers were certified dead at the scene after being freed by the firemen. Twenty-two male passengers sustained injuries and were sent to Princess Margaret Hospital and Yan Chai Hospital.
The coach driver was arrested for dangerous driving causing death and was being detained for further enquiries.
Investigations by Special Investigation Team of Traffic, New Territories South are proceeding.
