Appointment of Broadcasting Authority members

     The Government today (August 28) announced that the Chief Executive had re-appointed four serving members and appointed two new members to the Broadcasting Authority for a term of two years, starting from September 1.

     The four serving members re-appointed are Mr Adrian Wong Koon-man, Mr Henry Tsang Yuk-wong, Ms Marina Wong Yu-pok and Ms Wong Sau-ying.

     The two new members are Dr William Lo Wing-yan and Dr Jane Lee Ching-yee. Dr Lo has rich experience and expertise in telecommunications and broadcasting industries while Dr Lee is a professional in the education sector, with strong business and finance knowledge.

     Welcoming the new appointments, the Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development, Mrs Rita Lau said she was confident that the rich experience and exposure of Dr Lo and Dr Lee would be valuable to the Broadcasting Authority.  

     Mrs Lau also expressed gratitude to the two outgoing members, Professor Leonard Cheng Kwok-hon and Mrs Stella Lau Kun Lai-kuen, for their valuable support and contribution to the Broadcasting Authority over the years.

     With effect from September 1, the membership of the Broadcasting Authority is as follows:
