CE saddened by death of Professor Harry Fang Sin-yang

     The Chief Executive, Mr Donald Tsang, today (August 26) was deeply
saddened by the passing of Professor Harry Fang Sin-yang.

     "Professor Fang was one of the most public-spirited persons that I have known. He is highly respected for his extensive and outstanding public service, in particular his invaluable contribution to social and
rehabilitation services. A man of high integrity and pleasant personality, he had served with humility, commitment, professional excellence and enormous energy. He has left a lasting legacy in both Hong Kong and abroad. I extend my deepest condolences to his family members and the community will miss him sorely," Mr Tsang said.

     Professor Fang had served as unofficial members of the Legislative Council and the Executive Council. He was awarded the Grand Bauhinia Medal in 2001.
