German musicians to perform Haydn's "The Creation"
**************************************************

The Orchester der KlangVerwaltung and Chorgemeinschaft Neubeuern from Germany, under the baton of renowned conductor Enoch zu Guttenberg, will present Haydn's greatest oratorio "The Creation" (Die Sch?pfung) in October.

With magnificent orchestral accompaniment, soprano Miriam Meyer, tenor Colin Balzer, baritone Thomas Scharr, mezzo-soprano Elisabetta Lombardi, bass-baritone Klaus Mertens together with 150 musicians will sing the spectacular masterpiece.

Orchester der KlangVerwaltung was founded in 1997 by violinists Andreas Reiner and Josef Kr?ner. Its aim is to fully realise the extraordinary musical ideas of conductor Enoch zu Guttenberg. The group is familiar with the Baroque and early classical repertoire, which it interprets in its performances. The talented musicians who come from the leading symphony orchestras interact to create an incredible array of musical possibilities. The orchestraˇ¦s significant engagements include the Rheingaufestival, the Kissinger Sommer, the European Weeks Festival and the International Herrenchiemsee Festival.

Established by Enoch zu Guttenberg in 1967, the Chorgemeinschaft Neubeuern upholds the more than 100-year-old musical tradition of the Upper Bavarian village of Neubeuern, which forms the basis of its unique style. The choir performs the major oratorios and works with orchestras and soloists of international repute in Munich. While its repertoire ranges from the early Baroque to the 20th century, its focus remains J S Bachˇ¦s musical works. The high standard of its performances has enabled the choir to be guest performers at the great festivals of the world and the subject of many radio and television productions. The choir and its director have been awarded a number of prizes such as the Deutsche Kulturpreis (German Culture Prize), the Bavarian State Prize and the cultural award of the Bavarian National Foundation.

Conductor Enoch zu Guttenberg has an outstanding reputation as an interpreter of symphonic works and great oratorios. Guttenberg has attracted a growing audience with his historically adept and contextually and emotionally rich performances. His contribution has earned him many awards, and his recording of Anton Bruckner's "Symphony No. 4 in E-flat, 'Romantic'" with Orchester der KlangVerwaltung won the coveted ECHO Klassik Award 2008 in the category "Symphonic Recording of the Year" of 19th century music.
