Temporary suspension of mobile library services and relocation of service points
****************************************************

Services provided by Mobile Library 2 would be temporarily suspended from August 31 to September 5 for routine maintenance, a Leisure and Cultural Services Department spokesman announced today (August 20).

Service points to be affected are Kwong Yuen Estate and Lee On Estate in Sha Tin; Tai Yuen Estate in Tai Po; Sheung Tak Estate in Tseung Kwan O, and Ta Kwu Ling and Cheong Shing Court in North District.

Due to renovation works at the playground adjacent to Fung Yat House at Sui Wo Court and wall repair works at Yiu On Estate, Sha Tin, the service points of Mobile Library 2 at Sui Wo Court and Yiu On Estate will temporarily be suspended. The two service points will tentatively resume on September 18 and 19 respectively. For enquiries about the services of Mobile Library 2, please call 2605 1071.

The service point of Mobile Library 9 at Kai Yip Estate in Kowloon Bay has been temporarily relocated due to maintenance work at Kai Yip Road. The service stop adjacent to Kai Ning House has been relocated to a site adjacent to Kai Cheung House. The Kai Ning House service point will resume services when maintenance work is completed.

The opening hours of the Kai Cheung House service point remain unchanged: every Monday (except public holidays) from 10am to 1pm and 2pm to 6pm. For enquiries about the services of Mobile Library 9, please call 2505 4690.

People are welcome to use other public libraries during the service suspension period. They may also renew library materials by telephoning 2698 0002 or 2827 2833, or via the Internet at www.hkpl.gov.hk.
