The Leisure and Cultural Services Department says the Island East Swimming Pool has been temporarily closed for cleaning and superchlorination following the discovery of a small amount of faeces and vomitus in the leisure pool and the training pool.
The leisure pool and the training pool will reopen at 6pm and 7pm respectively today (August 10).
The department appeals to swimmers to be considerate and to keep our swimming pools clean. They are advised not to swim after a full meal and should use the toilet facilities if necessary before swimming.
