The Lands Department today (August 3) announced that the tender for two petrol filling stations at Tuen Yan Street, Area 37A, Tuen Mun, New Territories (Tuen Mun Town Lot No. 486) and Area 2, Tai Po, New Territories (Tai Po Town Lot No. 203) had been awarded to Sinopec (Hong Kong) Limited on a 21-year land grant at a total premium of $237.8 million.
"Authority from the Central Tender Board was given to the Lands Department to award the above sites to the highest tenderer," a government spokesman said.
The successful tender was submitted on the basis of a single amount of tender premium for the purchase of the two sites collectively as one package. These two sites are existing, re-tendered sites for the development of petrol filling stations.
Three tenderers took part in the tender exercise, which produced a total of eight tenders: six for the sites individually and two for the two sites collectively as a package. The companies other than the successful tenderers that tendered (individually or as a package) are listed below in respect of each lot and in alphabetical order:
