The Labour Department will hold a two-day job fair at the Exhibition Gallery, 1/F, Tuen Mun Town Hall, 3 Tuen Hi Road, Tuen Mun, on July 29 and 30 from 11am to 6pm.
Nineteen companies will participate on each of the two days. The 38 companies will set up counters and offer around 1,600 vacancies for on-the-spot recruitment.
The companies are from various industries including retail, catering and property management and security. Vacancies offered cover a wide variety of positions such as sales, shop assistant, waiter/waitress, security guard, personal care worker, cleaner, officer and manager. More information about the vacancies is available on the department's Interactive Employment Service website (www.jobs.gov.hk).
Around 75% of the vacancies offered are full-time jobs. Most of them offer a monthly salary ranging from $5,000 to $10,000. More than 90% of the vacancies require Form 5 educational level or below. Around 60% of them are open to job seekers without relevant experience.
Job seekers may submit job applications and have the opportunity for a selection interview on-the-spot. The Labour Department will conduct on-the-spot registration of job seekers as well.
Admission is free of charge. All members of the public are welcome.
