Learning to play a musical instrument not only helps young people develop their musical talent, but also enhances their interest in the arts and their concentration.
The ˇ§Instrumental Music Training Schemeˇ¨ and the ˇ§School Instrumental Music Training Schemeˇ¨, organised by the Music Office of the Leisure and Cultural Services Department, are now recruiting beginners for 2009-10. Young people with no instrumental experience are welcome to apply.

The two-year elementary training courses, which will begin in November, will be conducted at the Music Officeˇ¦s music centres in Wan Chai, Kwun Tong, Mong Kok, Sha Tin and Tsuen Wan.
The ˇ§School Instrumental Music Training Schemeˇ¨, which will also begin in November, is inviting applications from children aged 6 to 12 for elementary pipa, liuyeqin and flute classes to be held at Tin Shui Wai Xianggang Putonghua Yanxishe Primary School of Science and Creativity.
