The Mandatory Provident Fund Schemes Authority (MPFA) today (July 9) obtained an order for payment of outstanding MPF contributions at about $156,000 against an employer in the District Court.
The District Court today issued a judgment against an employer, Binger Marketing Work Company Limited. The defendant was ordered to pay the MPFA the sums of $156,634.27, being mandatory contributions in arrears and surcharge payable to 17 employees of the defendant.
The amounts awarded at the District Court will be reimbursed to the employees¡¦ MPF accounts as soon as they are received by the MPFA. The District Court ordered the defendants each to pay cost of $930.
