SED starts visit in Singapore (with photo)

     The Secretary for Education, Mr Michael Suen, led a Hong Kong delegation to Singapore today (July 6).

     Upon arrival at Singapore in the afternoon, the Hong Kong delegation held a bilateral meeting with the delegation from the Mainland led by Vice Minister for Education Professor Hao Ping.  They had frank exchanges over latest development in the educational front on both sides.

     Mr Suen will take part in the International Education Roundtable tomorrow (July 7) to share views on how Hong Kong meets the challenges ahead, school leadership and the teaching profession, as well as the role of technology in teaching and learning.

     He will also join the 9th World Convention of the International Confederation of Principals to listen to school leaders sharing their experience in meeting modern challenges in school leadership.

     Other members of the Hong Kong delegation include President of the Hong Kong Institute of Education, Professor Anthony Cheung; Principal of Yan Oi Tong Tin Ka Bing Secondary School, Mr Tai Hay-lap; Deputy Secretaries for Education Mr Michael Wong and Dr Catherine KK Chan.
