In relation to some Hong Kong travellers being quarantined in a designated hotel in Beijing from yesterday (June 30) after a passenger on their flight was suspected of getting Influenza A H1N1, the Beijing Office of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (BJO) had immediately visited the group and individual travellers concerned to offer comforts.
After learning some members of another tour group and some individual travellers from Hong Kong were quarantined in Beijing under similar circumstances today (July 1), BJO staff at once went to the hotel to see the residents concerned to offer comfort and assistance.
The BJO will continue to keep in touch with these Hong Kong travellers and render assistance as far as possible in accordance with their wish.
Residents who need assistance while outside Hong Kong may call the Assistance to Hong Kong Residents Unit's 24-hour hotline at (852) 1868.
